Celebrity sightings are not unusual in Las Vegas, but this week Hollywoods behind-the-scenes players also get to enjoy the spotlight on the Strip as CinemaCon gets under way.

This is the fifth year the Las Vegas Business Press has showcased Rising Stars. And just like the two editors before me, I was amazed at the array of great stories contained in the nomination forms that poured in. To sort out the nominees, we used benchmarks shaped by the dark economic times.
